Great value, many guides!

Last week I was checking out Guidejar and wondered about limits to creating guides. Turns out they offer unlimited guides, which is awesome for the price point. I also grabbed a good deal during their latest lifetime deal campaign.

Great for demos

Used Guidejar for product demos. The screen capture tool was effective. Exported to HTML easily. It met my needs.

Easy to use, quick support

I signed up for the 14-day free trial to test out their SOP builder. It was really easy to get started with the browser extension. Capturing steps and creating a step-by-step guide for a new internal process took me no time at all. I reached out to support with a question about exporting to PDF, and they got back to me within a few hours with a clear answer. The blurred sensitive data tool was also a nice touch for privacy. I ended up converting to a paid plan. The only minor thing was that the analytics dashboard felt a little basic, but it did the job.

Good tool, some setup needed

I purchased the annual plan for Guidejar to create some user onboarding flows. The browser extension worked pretty well for capturing the steps, and making the interactive walkthroughs was straightforward once I got the hang of it. I liked that I could customize the branding. However, setting up the custom domain was a bit more involved than I expected, and I had to dig through the help articles quite a bit to figure it out. Customer service was responsive when I had a question about embedding, which was a plus. Overall, it's a solid tool for the price, but there's a slight learning curve for some features.

Reliable as always for guides

This was my third time using Guidejar, mainly for creating training manuals. I've always found it reliable. The process for making guides has been consistent across my purchases. I particularly value the team collaboration workspace, which makes it easy to get input from others. This time, I used the video to guide converter for the first time, and it saved a ton of effort. I keep coming back because it just works for what I need, and the quality of the output is always professional.

Does Guidejar support custom domains for the guides? We want to host them on our own subdomain.

D Derek Kaur 1 month ago
Yeah, it does. You can set up custom domains. It's a premium feature, I think, but definitely possible.

Yep, my company uses it. Makes everything look way more professional than just a random URL.

Thinking of getting Guidejar for my team. We currently use Scribe. Anyone switched from Scribe to Guidejar and can share their experience? Is it better for complex stuff?

L Lisa 2 months ago
I moved from Scribe to Guidejar last year. For basic stuff, they're pretty similar, but Guidejar felt more robust for our internal SOPs and custom branding. The white-labeling was a big win for us.

yeah, i used scribe too. guidejar's html embed options and the blurred data tool were game changers for me, especially for client demos. less fiddly.

Hey, I saw some mention of a lifetime deal for Guidejar. Is that still a thing or did I miss it? Kinda hoping to avoid monthly fees.

C Carly 2 months ago
They do pop up with lifetime deals sometimes, usually on places like AppSumo. I snagged one during a Black Friday sale. Keep an eye out around those big sale events.

i think they run them periodically, not always available. check their site or appsumo, sometimes they have stackable codes too if you're lucky.

Just started the 14-day free trial, seems pretty cool. Is there a limit on how many guides I can make during the trial? Don't want to hit a wall.

T Tom Osei 2 months ago
Nah, during the trial you can pretty much go wild. I made like 20 guides testing it out and didn't hit any limits. It's meant for you to really kick the tires.

No limit afaik. The trial is fully featured to give you a good feel for it.

Hey, I'm trying to decide between Guidejar and Tango. Anyone used both? Which one has better analytics or reporting features?

T Todd 2 months ago
I found Guidejar's analytics dashboard to be more in-depth. You can track engagement and completion rates, which was super helpful for our user onboarding flows. Tango felt a bit more basic there.

tango is simpler but guidejar gives you more data points. depends if you need just views or real interaction metrics.
